Rarely do we consider the plight of angels: heavenly creatures sent to watch and guard us but incapable of feeling joy or sadness themselves. But when Damiel (Ganz), an angel posted in Berlin, feels a spark of emotion (that would be love) for a circus performer named Marion (Dommartin), he must choose between immortality and he feelings for her. With a lovely turns by Peter Falk (as an ex-angel) and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (as themselves).
