If you like scary movies, this is quintessential giallo (Italian for yellow, like the pages of pulp novels), though the primary colour in this visual feast is red (if possible, see the eye-popping 4K-remasted Blu-ray version that came out in 2017). Suspiria tells the story of an American ballerina who begins training at a German academy, where a series of violent incidents, well, keep her on her toes. A reboot starring Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz and Tilda Swinton will be released in 2018.
