The third VFA nomination for a William Goldman script – and we mention him here because the cast of A Bridge Too Far features more stars than we can name while still leaving room to tell you about the film: It’s a historically accurate account of a massive 1944 Allied offensive against the Nazis called Operation Market Garden. If you don’t know how that ended, you could read a history book or instead watch this gripping three-hour epic starring Sean Connery, Michael Caine, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman…we could go on.
